About Georgie's The Florist

Three generations of florists who have run the shop.

Hi and Welcome, my Name is Kat (Left) Daughter of Jackie (Middle) and the Great Neice of My Auntie Bel (right) and the Mum of Phoebe.

I am a Third Generation florist, taught by the best in the business, skills handed down to me from my Mum and my Great Aunt, I also spent 6 years at college working my way up the qualifactions until I got a city and guilds ICSF Level 4.

I've been a florist since I was 18 and I took over the shop on the Basingstoke Road in 2013. Before I took over I worked for my mum and I was a voluntary Saturday girl for Aunt Bel, I also used to bunk off school to scrub buckets!

I became a mum in 2017 and it's the best job I've ever had.

We shut the basingstoke road shop where we had been for 43 years in 2019 and moved to a studio nearer home in Burghfield.

Since we moved we have increased the amount of workshops we run as we have more space, I love sharing our skills with others in fun crafty afternoons be in wreath making or hand tied bouquets,

We have recently acquired a converted horsebox we plan to make into a pop up mobile flower shop, watch this space!

My favourite flowers are sweet peas and peonies in the summer, and in the spring, English tulips.
